Artist Statement:
Rita Deanin Abbey received her BFA and MA from the University of New Mexico. She also studied at the Art Students League and the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Arts. She is an Emeritus Professor of Art at the University of Nevada, Las vegas where she taught from 1965-1987. The Palm Springs Desert Museum exhibited her 35 Year Retrospective in 1988. Her work includes painting, sculpture, stained-glass, vitreous enamel on steel, and printmaking.
