Artist Statement:
"Design is of the utmost importance to me. I think a work both begins and ends there. If the composition is flawed, the piece does not work for me. I see design as the relationship of parts to the whole as well as to each other. Every element impinges on and effects every other element. The result, ideally, is a piece wherein every part feels right: it cannot be imagined any other way. Changing any part would destroy the total." - Alana
