Artist Statement:
" As far back as I can remember, I have always been attracted to brightly colored, shiny objects. Just like an otter. As I worked my way through painting, lampworking and enameling, I finally found my niche. It was enameling in the cloisonné style. My palette of colors was enormous. Blending of transparent enamels and surface treatment of the underlying metal produced optical effects that no other art form could reproduce. And the colors would remain stable for many lifetimes. I try to blend the extraordinary color palette of enamels with precious metals and semi precious gem stones to produce work that makes my heart sing" - Carolyn
