‘Forge the Future’
A Biennial Collaborative Exhibition by the Northern California Enamel Guild,
ACCI Gallery, and the Metal Arts Guild
October 9-November 7, 2021

As we emerge from forced hibernation during the COVID pandemic, a rebirth of possibilities feels so good. Forging metal strengthens, forms, and releases its potential into works of art. As members of the metal arts community, let us strengthen, form, and release each other’s artistic potential as we “Forge the Future.”
Wield the hammer, light the torch, watch the solder flow, and share your artistic vision with others in this curated members exhibition. Let us commit to collectively shaping a more equitable, diverse, and dynamic metals community as we “Forge the Future.”
NCEG members have had a tough year and we kick off our public programming with the announcement this exhibition.
We will carry on the rich history of the guild as we “Forge the Future”.
The Northern California Enamel Guild will be covering the cost of submissions for NCEG members. As an NCEG member, you will receive a coupon code towards free submission fees for the ‘Forge the Future’ exhibition.

IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES
Additional details will be emailed in September to those who have submitted work for the exhibition.
Submission Deadline: 8/18
Work Delivered to ACCI Gallery: 9/29-10/3
Installation: 10/3-10/8
Show Opens: 10/9
Tentative Reception: Saturday, 10/9 (format TBD)
De-Installation/Art pickup: Monday 11/8
SPECIFICATIONS
Artists must be members of either the Metal Arts Guild, the Northern California Enamel Guild, or ACCI Gallery to participate. You can join NCEG here before submitting your work for the exhibition if you are not currently a member: https://enamelguild.org/join-
Artists may submit up to three pieces of art for consideration (sculpture, jewelry, and conceptual pieces must feature some metal). You are guaranteed to have at least one piece in the exhibition and, if space permits, the curator will include additional pieces you submitted that enhance the overall flow and theme of the exhibition.
All pieces in the exhibition must be for sale. The artist will receive 60% of the sales price and the ACCI Gallery will take a 40% commission. An ACCI consignment agreement will be required for all exhibiting artists.
Art work should have been completed within the timeframe of 2019-2021. No work previously exhibited at the ACCI Gallery will be accepted.
Image files must be .jpg file format, minimum 900 pixels on long edge.
Participating work must be delivered ready to hang/install.
